Asked Questions
Question: Are the Union Contractors who make
up the RES family more expensive?
Answer: No. In fact, RES contractors are typically
10 to 20 percent less expensive than other contractors listed in the
yellow pages.
Question: How do I know that the serviceman who
comes to my home is qualified?
Answer: You can be assured that all of our servicemen
are licensed by the State of Washington. In addition, Union contractors
have access to the State of Washington's most comprehensive training
center in the electrical industry with more than 60,000 square feet
of classrooms and labs.
Question: What happens if something goes wrong
with my electrical installation or repair?
Answer: We will come back out and fix it at
no charge to you for a period of 5 years from the date the work was
done or in the case of new construction, 5 years after the expiration
of the builder's one year warrantee for a total of 6 years of peace
of mind. (Read more about the Plus 5 Guarantee program)
Question: Are there any common electrical problems
that I can take care of myself?
Answer: Yes. Customers often call when their
Bathroom, Garage or Outside receptacles do not work. Most of the time
you should look to see if you have a GFCI receptacle or breaker tripped
somewhere. GFCI receptacles have a test and reset button on their face.
They often control other receptacles that look like normal outlets.
Sometimes there is a breaker in the panel that may need to be reset.
You can tell a breaker has tripped if the switch is in the middle and is neither on or off.
If you have checked all of your GFCI receptacles or breakers and you
still have a problem, give us a call.
